PolicyHamillroad Software's sales policy is to promote and sell its products (FirstPROOF and Lightning TIFF) through it's own (small but growing) network of dealers, but usually limits these to one per country (or US state).
In addition, Hamillroad also promotes and sells its products through a number of OEM partners. Most of these OEM partners sell FirstPROOFs Viewing Technology integrated into their workflow though and do not sell FirstPROOF as a standalone product. Some of these OEM partners also use their own proprietary image formats, and so have their own special custom versions of FirstPROOF to support that; these custom versions are only available from the specific OEM.
Products
We supply our software in both electronic and packaged form. Electronic product is distributed via the web, email or ftp and packaged product comes on a CD (in a DVD style case).
Lightning TIFF comes with a permanent Activation Key (linked to your Harlequin dongle), which is either sent as a PDF file (for electronic product), or included with the CD (for packaged product). This is your proof of purchase.

FirstPROOF comes with a Product Key (that must then be activated), which is also sent as a PDF file (for electronic product), or included with the CD (for packaged product). This is your proof of purchase. An upgrade from one version to another can also be electronic or packaged and comes with an Upgrade Key.

Upgrades
FirstPROOF Standard to FirstPROOF Pro:
If you bought FirstPROOF Standard, you may purchase an upgrade to FirstPROOF Pro.
OEM versions of FirstPROOF:
If you bought a 1.x or 2.x OEM version of FirstPROOF (either a Xitron version or a Screen RemoteView version), you may purchase an upgrade to the latest version 5.0 of FirstPROOF.
Hamillroad versions of FirstPROOF:
If you bought a 1.x, 2.x or 3.x Hamillroad version of FirstPROOF, you may purchase an upgrade to the latest version 5.0 of FirstPROOF.

Options
As of version 5.0 of FirstPROOF, a number of options have been added that provide additional functionality to the base product.
These cover the five main areas of additional functionality in FirstPROOF Pro (compared to FirstPROOF Standard), each of which has been made available in FirstPROOF Standard as a separate Option. If there are therefore some tools that you want to use in FirstPROOF Pro, but you don't want to purchase the whole product, you can purchase just the Option/s you want in addition to FirstPROOF Standard. The five Options are:
- The Advanced View Tools Option
This consists of all the Advanced View Tools in FirstPROOF Pro, such as the Measurement Tools, Ink Limits Tool, Duplex View Tools, etc...
- The Page Modification Option
This consists of the Merge Tool and the Rotate Tool.
- The Printing and Export Option
This consists of the printing and export capabilities of FirstPROOF Pro.
- The Scum Dot Removal Option (Clean Tool)
This consists of the Clean Tool, used to remove single isolated pixels for either Flexo or Screen printing.
- The Color Management Option

Pricing
For pricing on FirstPROOF (both Standard and Pro, Options and Upgrades) and Lightning TIFF, please contact one of our dealers. Due to local taxes, import duty (where applicable) and extra services provided by our dealers (such as installation, support, integration, localisation, etc...) , we are unable to publish pricing. So please check with your dealer as to their exact end user price.
For pricing on the OEM versions of FirstPROOF integrated into their workflow, please enquire from the relevant OEM. Pricing in this case may differ substantially from that of standalone FirstPROOF, since each OEM integrates it into their workflow in different ways, and with different (potentially more extensive) capabilities (for example site wide licenses).
